THREE NEST REMAINING

Nest #22 is now at 57 days and was laid by out mother turtle missing her right back flipper.  For the most part, her nests have been successful.

Nest #23 is now at 54 days.  There was a small Ghost Crab hole in the vicinity.  But without a reed to mark the nest, it is hard to tell if it entered the nest.

Nest #24 is now at 52 days and is very quiet. But as has been the case, our nests have not been emerging in order of the dates that they were laid.  So time will tell.

Found this little piece of art connecting two bird tracks.

Not a turtle egg, but a chicken egg found among the reeds marking the high tide line.  Every now and then we find them and wonder how they managed to wash up on the shore.

It was a beautiful and uneventful morning walk on Waties today with lots of birds.
