HOT & HUMID


Lots of heat and humidity as shown in our sunrise this morning.  Not even a slight breeze.


The most activity we had from Ghost Crabs at any of our nests this morning was this attempt at Nest 15 that went no where.

We did find this bird egg below the wrack/high tide line.  Left it where we found it.

All summer we've seen large and medium tracks along the edge of the dunes.  See the little print below.  Looks like they are multiplying. We have seen this for the past few summers.  So far we've  had no problems with them getting into the nests.



The very high tide we had last night left all of our nest untouched. It came closest to Nest 11 and the nest at the edge of the dune in the little gully.  We'll see what happens tonight.


We saw only one lone Egret this morning.  Must be too hot even for the birds.
