Waties Island Nest Count

Sunday, June 5

No crawl or nest today, but what a privilege to start the day on this special little corner of the world.  Cool, low humidity and enough of a breeze to keep the bugs at bay. Our three current nests are blissfully incubating undisturbed by any pesky critters.

Beautiful sunrise

Strange looking find- animal, mineral or vegetable?? Purplish-grey, rubbery consistency

We decided on animal - dehydrated sea pork is our best guess

On the way back to the shed we were bid adieu by this sweet family who patiently posed while we fumbled for our cameras.

Just another day in paradise 😊p
