This nest was laid on 7/9 and emerged 61 days later on 9/8. Steve actually got to see her returning to the ocean.
Members of the CCU Sea Turtle Club joined us today and got to see a very successful inventory.

Another group starts sorting the hatched eggs. This nest was 20" deep.
This is a picture of a piped egg - never made it out of the egg shell. It is considered an unhatched egg. A student opened up the shell to find that it was fully formed.
Inventory results
95 hatched eggs and 2 unhatched.
96.9 hatch success and emergence success.
Great outcome!!
