Thursday, May 13 - Cold morning on the Beach today

It was cold today walking, a balmy 43 degrees, but a light breeze, no rain, beautiful sunrise and sky.  No Sea Turtle activity, and Nest #1 is fine.  A lot of sand has blown on this nest, nothing abnormal about that. Our canine friend was patrolling the beach at the high tide line.  I spotted the tracks intermittently up the beach starting around Marker 3, did not see them after Marker 7.  There was an interesting collection of trash this morning.  I picked up lots of goggles, a snorkel mask, sunglasses. and a number of those curly bracelets in a rainbow assortment of colors.

We found an interesting dead fish - Bill looked it up and it was identified as a Unicorn Leatherjacket.  I personally have heard of this fish.
