A Possible Nest?

Today is 12 days since our last two nests were laid on May 28 and just the right interval for one of those mothers to make a return visit to this island. Sure enough, just before Marker 6 we found a crawl. Classic signs of a nest too; the broken vegetation, thrown sand and mound.

But alas, after probing the area extensively three times, we could not find an egg chamber. Did we miss it? Or did this mother give up before actually laying her eggs?


Time will tell; we have marked the site as a "PN" or Possible Nest and we will check the site along with our other nests.
