Nest # 5 and another false crawl

What a beautiful morning for the Monday walkers!!! Cooler, gorgeous sunrise and calm ocean. Sandy, Bob and Arlene headed south to check out the short end and Maddy, Kim and Paulette headed north (or east actually). We found a crawl just above marker 6 near our first nest laid fifteen days ago!!. This turtle crawled halfway up a steep dune and made a place for herself to lay eggs. They will be high and dry and the hatchlings will be going downhill heading for the surf.
Unfortunately, Maddy also found another crawl by our special turtle up near the jetty. She was on the beach for a while moving around.

This is the false crawl at the jetty.

Nice long crawl for Nest 5

She slid down after finishing her work!!

Love seeing that egg!!

Getting the poles and sign planted was a challenge!!
