Waties Island Nest Count

Thursday, September 9th No Exciting News

Cool, breezy, cloudy day on Waties this morning.  Not much going on at any nest.  The Thursday Team did beat the rain.  Nest #10 was over-washed for the first time, the tides were high, possibly from the increased wave action caused by Hurricane Larry - which is far, far away.  The sailboat is exposed, AGAIN on the short end.  There is a NEW big tree that washed up. Hurricane Larry drove the wrack line up further on the beach.

Leslie and Kaela rescued a Horseshoe Crab, after he made swirly tracks on the beach.
