It was a grey overcast morning on the beach this morning, with some light drizzle. Nest #10 is still here and has not shown any signs of emergence, yet. It is day 65 today for this nest. Unfortunately, there was a King Tide this mouth, it started on Thursday, October 7th and yesterday, October 10th was the last day of this higher than normal tide and Nest #10 got over-washed several times during this King Tide. I called SCDNR on Friday, and was given some advice and some hope for this nest. These later laid nests, will take longer due to the shorter days, and if the hatchlings had not hatched from their eggs, some had a chance of surviving this King Tide - time will tell.
If we do not see any emergence signs, the nest will be inventoried per SCDNR guidelines.

We drove down to Hog Inlet point to check on the scuttled sailboat - was it covered up or was it visible - you never know with the shifting sands.
